The network offers garden city residents and associations as well as all those entrusted with the administration, preservation and development of garden cities and those interested in communicating the garden city idea the opportunity for international contact and exchange.

The participating garden cities want to get to know the specific strengths and problems of the network partners through regular mutual visits and thereby receive suggestions for their own questions and activities. The goal is a "garden city partnership" of associations and initiatives from garden cities in Europe, which both exchange information about their own concerns and keep the interest in the garden city alive in the public and remind that garden cities are a significant contribution to the European urban culture.
